Botanical Name: Hymenocallis latifolia   

Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): A long-perennial plant that grows 2-4 feet tall, with narrow leaves and large, fragrant white flowers. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soils. Often found in coastal and wetland areas. 

How you can help by planting this: Attracts pollinators like butterflies and bees, and provides habitat for small wildlife. Pollinated by Sphynx Moth. Great for adding beauty to wetland or coastal gardens.  

Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): Showy, white, fragrant flowers with long, narrow petals bloom in late spring to summer.  

Pairs well with: Coontie, Oxeye Daisy, Railroad Vine, Beach Creeper and other coastal components.
