Our Story
Rooted in Miami. Growing for Wildlife.
Welcome to Miami Native Plants Shop — where every plant is a small act of conservation. We are a small family-owned native plants shop. We created Miami Native Plants after converting our backyard into a wildlife garden oasis. Where 15+ butterflies can be enjoyed on the daily! In addition to the variety of birds, butterflies, moths, lizards, and pollinators that can be found right out our back door. We believe everyone should have a garden to enjoy to recharge themselves in between the busy world we live in, especially in Miami!
Why We Started
Miami is one of the most biodiverse regions in North America, home to ecosystems found nowhere else on Earth. But as neighborhoods grow and green spaces shrink, the native plants that local wildlife depend on are disappearing. We started Miami Native Plants Shop because we believe every yard, balcony, and garden can be part of the solution.
Our mission is simple: bring Miami's native plants to your home so you can create your own oasis — and support the butterflies, bees, birds, and wildlife that need them!
What Makes Native Plants Special
Native Florida plants have evolved alongside local wildlife for thousands of years. That means they provide exactly the right food, shelter, and habitat that local pollinators and animals need to thrive. When you plant a native, you're not just adding beauty to your space — you're restoring a piece of the ecosystem.
Butterflies rely on specific native host plants to lay their eggs and feed their caterpillars.
Native bees are more efficient pollinators of Florida plants than non-native species.
Birds depend on native berries, seeds, and the insects that native plants attract.
Native plants are naturally adapted to Florida's climate — they need less water, no pesticides, and minimal maintenance once established.
We provide local delivery weekly within Miami-Dade county!
Our Promise to You
When you shop with us, you're not just buying a plant. You're joining a community of Miami gardeners, conservationists, and nature lovers who believe that small actions — one native plant at a time — can make a real difference for our local wildlife and the future of South Florida's ecosystems.
Thank you for being part of this mission.
We can't wait to help you grow your oasis!
