Botanical Name: Bourreria succulenta
Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): Rockland Hammock Tree that enjoys full sun to light shade. Normally grows 10-15 feet, but can stretch up to 25 feet in South FL. Fragrant flowers very fragrant and in part what makes it such a great addition to your pollinator garden.
How you help by planting this: Provides significant food and cover for wildlife, including hummingbirds and other small animals. Nectar plant for Giant Swallowtail, Julia, Large Orange Sulphur, Mangrove Skipper, and other butterflies.
Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): White fragrant flowers. Fruit orange.
