Brittle Maidenhair Fern
Botanical Name: Adiantum tenerum
Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): A delicate, evergreen fern with arching fronds, growing 1-2 feet tall. Prefers partial to full shade and thrives in rich, moist, and well-drained soils. Great plant for indoor pots, especially hanging pots!
How you can help by planting this: Enhances shaded garden spaces while providing humidity and habitat for small insects.
Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): Non-flowering; reproduces through spores found on the undersides of its fronds. Although it does not flower, new growth comes with a beautiful flush of pinks and copper-toned leaves
Pairs well with: Boston Fern, Coontie, Bahama Coffee and other shade loving plants.
