Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): A versatile, evergreen shrub or small tree growing 6-15 feet tall. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates a variety of soils, including sandy and limestone-based. An excellent choice to use as a hedge, plant, in both mixed and single species hedges
How you can help by planting this: Provides berries for birds, nectar for pollinators, and dense cover habitat for wildlife, especially nesting birds.
Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): Small, yellow-green flowers bloom in spring, followed by dark purple to black berries in summer and fall.
Pairs well with: Stoppers, Torchwood, Florida Fiddlewood, Bahama Strongbark and other great fruiting tall shrubs and small trees.
