Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): A low-spreading, evergreen shrub that reaches 3-4 feet in height. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and is tolerant of coastal, salty, and sandy soils.

Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): Small, white flowers bloom in late spring, followed by purple or red edible berries in late summer to fall.  

Pairs well with: Sea Grape, Beach Verbena, and Beach Creeper for a coastal landscape.
