Description (growth habits, light requirements & care): A deciduous shrub growing 1-2 feet tall. Prefers full sun to light shade. Also wildflower and butterfly gardens. 

How you can help by planting this: Provides food for birds with its berries and shelter for small wildlife, enhancing the ecosystem. Nectar plant for Julia and other butterflies.

Flower and Fruit (color, characteristics, season): White turning to yellow or purplish-white flowers, followed by Attractive white to purplish, drupe-like berry.  

Pairs well with: Goldenrod, Florida Lantana, and Beach Creeper for a low-maintenance garden that supports wildlife.
